Dear Readers:
HLAC continues to grow and play a growing role in raising awareness about excellence in healthcare textile processing. To date, 75 laundries have now achieved accreditation (see sidebar for the newest).
Preparation for inspection involves time and resources as well as a commitment to ongoing process monitoring and improvement. Laundries who achieve accreditation are true leaders in the industry.
Congratulations to all those accredited for making the commitment to the industry as well as to every healthcare patient you and your cutomers serve.
Sincerely,
Kathy Tinker
Executive Director
Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council

HLAC's Big Success in "The Big Easy"
HLAC's participation at this year's Clean Show held in New Orleans was a big success. The education session was well attended and provided the audience with good information and dialogue about HLAC and the standards.
We thank the following organizations who helped us prepare and/or present the session:
Gulf Coast Laundry Services, Biloxi, MS, Richard Phelon
Healthcare Laundry Systems, Wheeling, IL, Chuck Rossmiller

The booth was very busy and we had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with laundries who were accredited, preparing, and those looking to learn more. Thank you to the following organizations who helped us work in and/or assisted in other ways to create a great-looking booth:
